The International SEPT Competence Center of the University of Leipzig and the Office for Economic Development of the City of Leipzig have been working together in Ho Chi Minh City since 2015 to offer young startups from Vietnam the opportunity to test new markets in the European Union and especially in Leipzig.
The International Innovators Award, organized jointly with the UEH Institute of Innovation, took place on November 18, 2021. During the event, six finalists were able to present their business model as well as a plan on how to approach the European market to an international jury.
From a total of 30 applicants, three winners were chosen who could represent interesting innovations in the German market with their products such as a skin-friendly shaving cream, household items made from recycled beverage cartons or straws made of grass. All winners will be invited to Leipzig in the coming year in order to be able to promote their local market development here.
